New desk

We ordered a new desk for N (although I coveted it myself) back in August last year. Steel base, concrete top, very cool. It finally arrived this month. Apparently the slow boat from China took the odd detour, and the legs and the top got separated (possibly at birth), plus several other excuses from the supplier.

I can’t officially slag them off as in the end I agreed to a final discount in exchange for NOT slagging them off on social media. Although judging by the speed with which the offer was accepted, I clearly hadn’t asked for enough of a discount. Ah well.

N is so pleased with the desk, and it looks so FINE in situ (replacing the faux Victorian manager’s desk), that we’ve almost forgotten the hassle we had getting it. But not enough to order from them again.
